To check a ticket with your phone, use the Maxiloto app's reader with a supported code and check that the number, draw and stake match your document. You can also look up the result by entering the details manually, without scanning.
This guide covers Spain's National Lottery, including Christmas, El Niño and the Thursday and Saturday draws. A décimo is one tenth of a full ticket. Results are for information: scanning does not authenticate the ticket or process a prize claim.
Your phone's normal camera may read a link, but that does not mean it can interpret every lottery code. QR codes and barcodes are not interchangeable: follow the reader's compatibility instructions.
Open the Spanish National Lottery results checker and select the draw printed on your ticket. Check the year, particularly if you have tickets from several Christmas draws.
Enter the full five-digit number, including leading zeros, and the amount actually played. If the form asks for the series or fraction, copy them from the document; do not confuse them with the ticket number.
Check whether the displayed prize is per décimo, per series or for the amount entered. Do not multiply or divide the result without knowing which unit the checker uses.
A number that misses the first prize may win in another category. For Christmas, also check the pedrea, adjacent-number prizes, hundreds-group prizes, endings and the reintegro refund covered by its prize programme.
El Niño and Thursday and Saturday draws have their own programmes: do not apply one draw's categories or amounts to another. Consult the complete result and the unit used for prizes, not just a summary of the main winning numbers.
While the draw is still running or the list is incomplete, not seeing a prize is not a final conclusion. If you are unsure, cross-check with SELAE or a lottery retailer.
Reading the code can save manual data entry, but you still need to check that the details match your ticket.
Access the available information without relying solely on a printed list. If the connection or results are unavailable, check again later.
If the format is unsupported or the code is damaged, check by number or ask the retailer for help.
A share certificate may include a QR that opens a checker or identifies the document. It does not turn the certificate into a SELAE-issued ticket or prove that the original ticket was purchased.
Check the number, draw, person or organisation holding the original, and your actual stake. A donation included in the price does not contribute to your share of a prize. Do not assume you receive a whole décimo's prize without calculating your ownership percentage.
The Maxiloto lottery share generator prepares PDF documents; it does not purchase or validate lottery entries. A share issued by another organisation may have its own checking procedure.
If a QR opens a website, check the address before continuing. Do not provide bank details just to look up results or publicly share validation codes or complete images of the ticket.
The Maxiloto app download and its checking function are free. Looking up a result is not the same as purchasing an entry or requesting payment of a prize.
Clean the lens, improve the lighting, avoid reflections and adjust the distance. Check camera permissions and lay the document flat without damaging it. If scanning still fails, use the manual checker or take the original to a retailer. “Code not recognised” does not mean “no prize”.
You can consult draws available in the results history by selecting the exact date. Do not assume every year or format is available. If you cannot find the draw, ask SELAE or the retailer. A historical winning result does not mean the claim deadline has not passed.
Keep the original ticket or receipt. If Maxiloto holds it in safekeeping, review your purchase and contact us. Reading a code does not automatically credit your account or change the prize's ownership.
Our prize-claim guide explains the process, documents and deadlines. Resolve conflicting results before discarding the ticket.
For information about future draws, visit the Christmas Lottery and El Niño pages. Buying another entry is a separate decision from checking the one you already hold.
SELAE: checking results is an information service; official National Lottery checker; prize claims and expiry; INCIBE: safer QR scanning. These official references are in Spanish.
