Hello! I’m Maxi Álvarez. With the Maxiloto app, you can check Spanish lottery tickets, consult results and manage your bets. Use your phone to read compatible QR codes or barcodes, or access Maxiloto’s online lottery services.
Already installed? Open the app and select its scanner. These buttons open the store listings; they do not activate a camera on this page. On a computer, you can view the listings and continue installation on your phone.

The reader lets you consult supported ticket codes without typing every number. Always check the game, dates and ticket details: an unsuccessful scan or a pending draw does not mean the ticket has no prize.
- Spain’s Lotería Nacional: to check a décimo, use the compatible barcode or QR code printed on it. Match the ticket number and date to the correct draw; you can also consult the Lotería Nacional results.
- Primitiva, Bonoloto and EuroMillions: scan the receipt’s QR code and check the entries and draws included. Review any additional parts, such as Joker or Spain’s El Millón, where applicable; do not assume they have been checked if the details are not shown.
- Tickets from other retailers: you can use the scanner with compatible official Spanish tickets even when they were not bought at Maxiloto. A payment QR or the code on an association’s lottery share is not necessarily an official ticket QR.
How to use the scanner
- Open the app’s scanner and allow camera access when requested.
- Frame the whole code with the ticket flat and well lit, without glare. Adjust the distance until the camera focuses.
- Compare the information displayed with your ticket, particularly the number, draw and dates entered.
- Consult the available result. If details are missing or the code cannot be read, check results manually or ask a lottery retailer to check it. Keep the original ticket.

Is the app free to download and use?
Maxi answers: Yes. Downloading Maxiloto and using the lottery scanner are free. If you choose to play, you pay the official price for the entries or tickets you buy, with no extra commission for using the app. Physical ticket delivery may incur shipping charges, which you should check in the order.
How are prizes from entries bought through the app paid?
Maxi answers: Prizes for entries bought and validated at Maxiloto are managed in your account after the draw has been checked. Smaller prizes are credited to your balance according to the platform’s process; you can request a withdrawal through your account options. For prizes of €2,000 or more, we contact you to coordinate the appropriate claim procedure.
This applies to entries bought at Maxiloto, not to every physical ticket you scan. Credits and withdrawals may require checks; immediate availability of the money is not promised.
Can I scan tickets bought at other retailers?
Maxi answers: Yes, you can check compatible official Spanish tickets even when they were bought at another retailer. Reading depends on the code format, its condition and the available draw information. This does not mean that every QR, foreign ticket or lottery-share payment code is supported.
Can I buy Spanish Christmas Lottery tickets through the app?
Maxi answers: Yes. You can search available décimos and place an order through Maxiloto. Review the safekeeping or physical delivery options offered in the order, their conditions and any shipping charges. With safekeeping, the original remains at the retailer; a digital copy does not replace it. Check your purchase confirmation.
What are the technical requirements for the app?
Maxi answers: You need a compatible device, an internet connection to consult results and camera permission to use the scanner. Check the current requirements in the Google Play or App Store listing on your device, as they may change with new versions. If the store does not allow installation, you can still consult results on the website.
What should I do if the QR code or barcode will not scan?
Maxi answers: Check camera permission, clean the lens, improve the lighting and frame the whole code without glare. Make sure the app is up to date and you have an internet connection. If the code is damaged or still unreadable, keep the original and consult results manually or visit a retailer. A scanning error does not mean there is no prize.
If I scan a winning physical ticket, is the prize added to my balance?
Maxi answers: No. Scanning a physical ticket lets you consult its information; it does not transfer ownership or automatically credit the prize to your Maxiloto balance. Keep the original ticket or receipt.
For in-person claims in Spain, prizes below €2,000 are paid at lottery retailers; prizes of €2,000 or more are paid at authorised financial institutions. The threshold applies to the total prize on the ticket or receipt, and payment is subject to the necessary checks and documentation.
Is Maxiloto SELAE’s own app?
Maxi answers: No. It is the application of Maxiloto, lottery retailer 35680 in Gijón. It provides access to our services and information on Spanish lotteries, but it is not the corporate application of Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.
